Table of Contents

The BookNook Dashboard is available to both BookNook Platform and BookNook Tutoring customers.

After logging in, you’ll land on the home page, where you can see an overview of student activity. Along the left side of the page, you’ll find navigation to different pages.

The data you see will depend on your role (admin, teacher, or staff) and your account’s access level. If you believe your access should be different, please reach out to your BookNook coordinator at your site.

BookNook Dashboard - Home Page

The BookNook Dashboard home page displays at a glance data that will allow you to gain insight and act on the learning students are engaged in.

Further filter the display by date, grade, session type and/or subject.

Quick tip: Hover over the “i” icon in the top right corner of a tile to see a clear explanation of what the numbers in that section mean.

  • Sessions Delivered – offers visibility into the number of BookNook sessions provided to students. Please note, it does not take attendance into account. View the “Student Attendance” tile below for insight into attendance
  • Student Practice Minutes – quick view of how much practice time is happening.
  • Unique Lessons Reviewed – shows the amount of unique lessons students have worked on.

Student Attendance – shows the overall attendance percentage and percentage by grade level.

  • BookNook Reading session Emoji student check-in data
  • Unique Standards Practiced – See how many different standards your students have engaged in.

Lesson Band Progress tile will show the percentage of students who made progress through BookNook Lesson Bands out of those who attended sessions and, of those who did, how many bands on average.

An Opportunities for Improvement section highlights three key metrics based on the filters selected:

  • Attendance – See up to 5 students with the lowest attendance and click directly into their profiles to understand who might need additional follow-up and what they’ve missed.
  • Standards (Reading) – View up to 5 reading standards practiced where students have shown the most opportunity for improvement.
  • Skills (Math) – Get visibility into (up to) 5 math skill(s) with the lowest average student understanding.

Utilize the download icon in each section to export a CSV of additional data for the filters selected:

  • Student Attendance export provides details such as student information, sessions offered and attended, and attendance rate.
  • Reading and Math exports provide additional student performance insights.
